This didn't go ahead tonight (friday) due to an overall low turnout, both in terms of signups and 'show ups'. I'm not around tomorrow night myself and may yet join a PuG over the weekend, but if people would like to try and put together a guild pug it might be worth expressing interest here. I won't personally be able to run one next weekend as I've friends staying over, but someone else might.
With regard to turnout and viability: I personally think we need to be fairly close to 10 or so guildies to make these worthwhile and enjoyable. Much less and we all may as well pug the raid, either individually, or in smaller groups. I enjoy the guild pugs, as do other people, but we want to make sure they are actually guild pugs and don't simply involve herding an army of randoms for the benefit of a few of us.
With regard to no-shows, I'd like to point out that these raids should be considered in the same manner as our 10 mans when it comes to setting your sign up. If you're not sure you'll be available or willing on the night, stick up a tentative. If you select the green 'signed up' then the raid leader has every right to expect you to actually turn up. Pugs are obviously less dependent upon class balance and key roles within the guild signups, but, bearing in mind the above, it's still important to know if we have enough of a turnout to make it worthwhile and which classes and roles we'll need to pug. If people don't show up on time they shouldn't complain if the raid ends up full of their class / there's no spot left / etc. Scheduling, forming and running these takes effort and it's only fair if people treat the events in kind.
Cheers,
Jex
